Position Description: 

The primary responsibility of the Product Master Admin. Level I is to create and update all Attributes, Categories, and Mat-Overheads in the Item master, create and update all Invoices, Raw, Store, and Dealer Costing in the Item Master, create and update all Vendors, Groups, Styles, SPL Codes, Product Specifications, and Product Descriptions in the Item Master. Area's of responsibility will also include Item Master, PO Pricing, OM Pricing, Oracle Setup and data Verification, Inventory Price Variance (IPV).

Primary Responsibilities:                                                                                                   

  • Interpret and implement changes to the Item Master based upon the receipt of the Product Change Request (PCR) form.
  • Creates and maintains all attributes for all Items.
  • Maintains the COGS and Sales Account for all items.
  • Create and maintains product specifications (weight, dimensions..) and product descriptions for all Items,
  • Create and maintains status codes and SPL codes for all Items.
  • Create and maintains the Categories and Catalogs Elements for all Items.
  • Create and maintains the Mat-Overheads (items Costs) for all Items, which drives Raw Cost and Store Cost.
  • Creates and maintains List Price, Base Cost, Regular List, Regular Raw, Dealer Cost, and Vendor Special Discount within the Advance Pricing Modular, creates and maintains the PO Pricing and OM Pricing Active Dates for the Order Management Modular.
  • Creates and maintains the Special Vendor Discounts and Marketing Special Active Dates for the Order Management Modular.
  • Creates and maintains the setup of Categories, Vendors, Groups, and Styles…
  • As part of the application of any new Vendor’s pricing schedule, the Product Master Administrator has several Discoverer Reports they should use to verify that all costing updates are accurate and consistent with the Vendor’s pricing schedule.
  • Periodically verify the accuracy of the product specifications and that all required products specifications are entered in the system.
  • Runs the Block Status Report of the item is being put in an X, H, R, D or M and emails to the Blocks Mail for future unblocking use.
  • Coordinates the movement of inventory from product code to product code using global movement programs and subsequent deactivation of product codes.
  • Maintains the Product Change Request (PCR), Invoice Price Variance (IVP), and the Misc. Product Request (MPR) Tracking Logs.
  • Maintains several informational spreadsheets for the Field and Field Support Center.
  • Works with Director of Purchasing, Buyers, VP and ATD International, and Distributions Centers to establish misc. product codes for special purchases (non-stocking items)
  • Assist the AP Department in researching Vendor billing errors through the IPV process, assists the Audit Team during the year-in financial audit.
  • Creates and maintains the items acquired through the Company’s acquisitions, assist in training Temp and Temp to Permanent Employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, accuracy and consistency of the ATD Item Master, completing tasks in an efficient and timely manner

Experience(s) that Best Prepares You:                                   

  • Education:  Minimum high school graduate or GED; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree form a Community or 4 year college preferred.
  • Experience:  Minimum of 2 years Costing and Pricing experience in General Accounting.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the company, in its discretion, may find appropriate and acceptable.

  • Proficient in math and analytical skills, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
