Position Description: 

The primary and ultimate responsibility of the eCommerce Delivery Manager is to plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of ATD’s eCommerce software applications. The eCommerce Delivery Manager is also responsible for upgrading existing systems and applications as required. This individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide his/her development team on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical business applications software and related systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works with Director of eCommerce to develop strategic plans and works with development teams to implement these plans for the eCommerce Suite of Products
  • Motivates, manages and develops direct reports in accomplishing key eCommerce strategy goals
  • Involved throughout all stages of a product family’s lifecycle including management of timelines for gathering business requirements, interaction planning, creative, development, QA and deployment
  • Works collaboratively with ATD Core IT team on all associated initiatives
  • Manages eCommerce resources to ensure that enhancement and process improvements are delivered accurately and efficiently
  • Oversees coordination between eCommerce team and various Business teams to ensure that site functionality and content is presented as required
  • Provides support for organizational and customer readiness including training and communication for any site enhancements or changes
  • Drives development of analytics reports to analyze and manage KPIs that drive efficacy and end user usage of site features
  • Delivers enhancements and process improvements by the expected date and in such a way that the organization and customers are prepared for these enhancements
  • Delivers eCommerce initiatives that are designed and implemented such that expected business benefits are realized
  • Recommend features and enhancements that lead to upward trends in various conversion points across eCommerce web properties
  • Successful development of employees for their growth at ATD
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of Web based application services to be delivered from external parties. Ensure internal standards are met and that delivered products adhere to infrastructure requirements and approaches.
  • Management of the internal development process to ensure quality code is developed and delivered on time and within budget following established best practices and standards.
  • Execute ownership of the entire SDLC and manage this process utilizing ATD’s software development toolset.
  • Management of the change process to include proper application documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal groups such as Operations and Quality Assurance and other Application Development teams to ensure the ongoing viability, performance and relevance of the application.
  • Manage the staff level and skills mix of the project to support the development of the application in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Review development requests and accurately estimate project resources and duration.
  • Mentor team members to help them improve the quality and timeliness of their development efforts.
  • Refactoring and evolution of existing applications to leverage enterprise level software services with regards to Application Server and SOA services and to consolidate OLTP functions towards back office ERP suite.
  • Establish a clear, concise communications methodology for application delivery services to project stakeholders.
  • Delivery of milestones on or prior to their stated or currently approved due dates 97% of the time.
  • Delivery of milestones or projects within 10% of estimated budget
  • End user satisfaction > 98%
  • Effective utilization of the change management process

Experience(s) that Best Prepares You: 

  • Education:  Minimum associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University preferred.
  • Professional Experience:  Minimum of 8+ years IT experience implementing and supporting business applications across various platforms with 3+ years of managing a department.  5+ years of eCommerce experience; Product Management experience required; Hybris experience preferred; Tire Distribution experience preferred

  • Familiarity with ZEND Server and associated development tools and frameworks is a plus.
  • Strong technical skills in Oracle WebLogic Portal, and MySQL/SQL Server/Oracle databases, Solr
  • Strong understanding of web analytics and the Google Analytics platform
  • Must have a strong understanding of source code management technologies (JIRA, etc.)
